- The Deceiving Smile
A sweetened smile so fair,
upon an innocent face,
her teeth glistened in the light,
this girl had a clean case.
If there ever was a problem,
she would be there,
no matter what the time.
to help to those deep in despair.
She put on a brave face,
and helped those in need,
from problematic boyfriends,
to suicidal weeds*.
Yet who'd stop to think,
to ask if she was okay?
that this ball of sunshine,
could be all out of rays.
This so called 'brave face',
is a figment of truth,
to put on a show for the people,
for her gloom to go, poof!
What really hides inside,
in the poor girls body,
is the deepest of voids,
built up by the gaudy.
The darkness inside,
created by sadness,
that's been stored over time,
From years of this madness.
From bullying to heart ache,
all kinds of this hatred,
it just kills her inside,
But she's too afraid to show it.
The hatred we speak of,
becomes stronger each day,
Just waiting to pounce,
so get out of it's way.
When the evil spills out,
she will burst into flames,
all these burdens she carries,
will be the water that rains.
No more sweet lil' thing,
after this she's all gone,
the evils engulfed her,
what sweetness? There's none!
Then she replaces her smile,
to cover up her dark truth,
and transform again,
into a sinister sleuth.
Her mask hides the truth,
she's now but a girl,
who's happy and cheerful,
to all of the world.
You'd never suspect it,
the way that she acts,
to hide her true feelings,
behind that smile of a mask.
But this is a girl,
that you should not despise,
her hatred will worsen,
and she'll squish you like flies...
The next time she helps you,
Ask are you okay,
your problems are hers,
don't just leave it that way.
